I’ve used Sierra , Hornady ,Speer Nosler Barnes and all the variants of cup and core fast expanding too controlled expanding and they all will kill a deer . It’s just that every now and again when something weird happens that is totally out of my control that I don’t like about those type bullets . I ve had complete blow ups on shoulder bone , entry wound with no exits on Partitions when you should have one , perfect behind shoulder shot a few drops of blood then no blood trail etc , etc , then along came Hammers I accidentally stumbled on a you tube video of Steve and some friends and family members on a African Safari, wow I was impressed. I called Steve ordered some Hammers and could not believe how easy the load development is , they are faster grain for grain 100 fps from the get go , virtually no fouling accurate as heck , the best terminal performance you could ask for , no limitations too shot placement , in the vitals of coarse shoulder or behind the shoulder , absolutely no blood shot meat etc. The Hammer bullets perform the same everytime no surprises, The OP stated he was looking for a Partition or a Hammer bullet of some sort , too try in his 270 the 117 gr Hammer hunter will cover all the bases point blank too 1800 fps impact vel . I would be surprised too get 3400 fps plus from the 270 loaded too it’s potential with the 117 gr Hammer
