In the 140 grain .270 bullet berger offers a classic hunter design as well as a vld. what gets me is that the classic hunter has a higher b.c. than the vld. .271 vs .258 respectively. so if the classic hunter has a higher bc, why did they release the vld? Is there a significant difference between jackets in the two? the base to ogive is about .06 longer on the vld, did they want more flexibility in seating depth? I am about to send a cartridge in loaded with the classic design to have a custom reamer made, I want to make sure I am not missing anything before I commit to the set up.
