What powder are you using? I could not get good velocity and accuracy with 130 Accubonds out of my 264 Win mag until I went to Retumbo. I have a 27 3/4" Shilen barrel 9 twist. 66.5 grs Retumbo, WW case or WW 7mm Rem mag case reformed to 264, CCI 250 primer, 130 AB 10 thousands off the lands. 3350 fps average. So far 5 WT deer from 80 to 250 yards BANG FLOP. Recovered one bullet shot length wise from front to back at 111 yards. Bullet was found in ham with text book mushroom weight was 87 grs. I would be afraid of sever bullet blow up at close range with the A-max or the ballistic tip at 264 Win mag velocity. Those one piece 120 gr bullets might be your ticket. But the 130 AB at 3065 fps ain't no slouch and would pack more authority way out there than lighter bullets.
