If your looking for something super flat shooting, This is a good thing!!
How about a 108gr. jlk vld w/ a b.c. of.500 @4000 fps.
OR
A 115gr. berger vld w/ a b.c. of.522 @3800-3900 fps.

Run those numbers through your ballistic program and see what you come up with!!

Hi there,
I have a 25-06 sendero re-barreled to 25wsm imp.with a 29" barrel.(I had the reamer pushed in .050 thou), I've been fireforming brass (270 wsm necked down) for the last little while.The fireforming velocity with a 85gr. bal. tip and 70gr. of RL-22 is 4000ft/s.I hope to get enough fireformed brass to do some testing soon.Good Luck

6.5 WSM is perhaps a better choice Lapua 107 gr Scenar or the 123 have BC ober 0.5 and are cheaper than custom bullet with stronger jacket

in 6.5/06 you get impressive performance on long range with 107 gr , with WSM case you can increase that a bit

OVER BORE!!!!!!!
I got a 25-06 Ackley Imp. The burns barrels like no other. 700 rounds on a Krieger than it was time to make dies with it.
I much rather would go with the 243 Ackley with 105gr pills. Better bullets and more of them, better B.C.s and a lot less powder. Also barrel life is much greater.

Just out of curiousity where are you guys getting dies for the .25 WSM and 6.5 WSM Improved? How much are they?

I use the .270 WSM type S full length bushing die Redding 77255, with the proper neck bushings for the 6.5, This die actually works better with the 6.5, lets you size more of the neck. By using the bushings like .305, .299, .294, you can step down your .270 brass to 6.5 specs and neck turn.

For the bullet seater, I use a 6.5/.284 competition seater, and run my chambering reamer into the sleeve, done deal.

If someone wants a custom sizer, I make one with a Newlon blank.

i have builted a 25-270wsm on 700a dg bl 1-10t working on loads

I have built a 25-270 WSM. Specific tools built the chamber reamer. Redding makes the Dies. I used aRemington 700 action with a Douglas Supreme No. 6 BL (SS) 26" long with a 1 in 10 twist., Bedding action, free floated barrel. I am working on loads now. I also have built a 26 Nosler. I am loading 130gr.Berger Hunting Bullets with 76 gr. of Hodgden Retumble. It has worked the best so far.
