25-06 loads

I have always wanted a Winchester model 70 in 25-06. I finally found one NIB at the gun show this weekend from 1980. It is the calssic sporter with 26" barrel.

I was wondering what some of your favorite loads are? I am not sure what I am going to hunt with it so I am open to all notes.

100 gr Hornady spire point, cci 250,53.3 gr 4350

Varmint load: 87 gr Sierra, 52.2 grs IMR 4350, CCI-BR2 primer, Rem. case, 3300 fps.
This will scatter a ground hog to the four winds about as far away as you can see him.

General purpose load:
100 gr Sierra or Nosler Ballistic Tip 52 grs IMR 4350, CCI-BR2 primer, Rem case, 3200 fps.

My favorite deer load. Sierra 117 gr Pro Hunter, 49 grs IMR 4350, CCI 250 primer, Rem case, 3000 fps.

This load is about standard for a 25-06. 115 to 120 gr bullet 52 grs H-4831, CCI-BR2 primer, Rem or WW case.
