Rather than using an ear plug over the #11 nipple like ive always done. My brother and i got crafty and ordered a roll of rubberized plastic and i told him what i wanted and the purpose. He got on the computer, designed it and sent it over to the printer.

Completely seals the #11 nipple and keeps moisture out of the weak point while you're sleeping or traveling with a loaded, uncapped muzzleloader. Just a real simple yet highly effective way to keep out the bad while i'm sleeping after the days hunt.

Old way was to cut an ear plug in half and smash it into the hammer cup and lower it down.

For my old Knight T-Bolt that has the 209 conversion which uses the red plastic things that you place a 209 primer in then place it on the special nipple I just put a piece of hard wood dowel where the primer goes and then place it on the nipple. It has worked fine at keeping moisture out while between hunting trips because when the rifle needs to fire it fires with no delay. Your rubber cap should work great.
