I was only shooting rabbits at her age. No centre fire in the house.

+1 on the cartridge choice. I am suitably impressed with 7mm-08 performance.

Awesome Buck! I remember being her age slipping in the woods every morning and evening I could trying to find something even remotely close to that. Remembered letting plenty of does walk wanting that perfect Buck to come by. Never happened lol! Tell her congratulations on the very nice looking buck. And wish her many more.

Ben sent us a picture of his 10 year old daughters first Idaho Buck, shot at a distance of roughly 150 yards. She was using a 7-08 and the 120 Hammer Hunter Bullet sitting on top of 42gr of Varget. Ben self scored the deer at 142.
