—Official 2023 Predator & Varmint Kills— Post Em Up

Thanks
special ordered, Cooper Jackson Game, 26" barrel, 12 twist, bumped up wood grade. I got tired of carrying heavy barreled cannons lol
Nice!! I had a Ruger No.1 Swift with knockout wood on it that shot really well. I gave it to my son and built a pair of 1-8 twist rifle on short M70 actions. One has a Mike Rock barrel and the other a Brux. Both are well under MOA rifles that work well on deer, antelope and varmints. I love them!!

First time thermal hunting at our family ranch. I still have a lot of learning to do and look forward to getting out again. I'm still working on getting my 6 ARC up and running, so I tossed my iRay Rico 640 on my 18" Terminus Zeus 6 Creedmoor shooting Prime 107 SMK ammo.

The first night out, we had coyotes respond to vocals but they never showed their faces. My brother and I settled for a jack rabbit a piece!

2nd night out, I went to a flat around 2 am and got set up. I decided to try some mouse squeaks and that turned out to be the ticket! I spotted a fox coming quite a ways out. He dropped out of sight for a minute or so and after panning back and forth, I caught another fox sneaking in to 40 yards. One shot later, he was down. After another minute or two, I looked out and saw the original fox hanging out at 150 yards. The 6 Creedmoor put him down easily as well. I couldn't locate the 2nd fox in the brush in the dark, but was able to find him later in the morning. I'm definitely hooked!
