Hi Gundog74, I don't post here but thought I'd tell you, I did shoot a bull elk with the 225 ELDM last fall. I'm at Oregon coast so Roosevelt. It was a 300 yard shot right behind shoulders, double lung. Bullet passed through and exit wound was a 2" hole. Fell dead immediately. I myself have been loading Berger 245 EOL's but no experience yet on elk
