It's the CHP, picked it up off gun broker. Day before I had picked up a CVA scout 350L for shooting factory ammo, I haven't had my reloading bench set up for a couple decades, so I wanted an inexpensive/rain gun.

A 145grain boattail hammer would be Mucho Excellent'e. Should be about the same length as a 170 or 180.

WOW :^0 I ran some numbers........a 180 hammer, pushed at mv2100fps with a bc 0.335, 170yd zero 2.8high at 100yds, 2.9low at 200, carrying over 1000lbs energy at +250yds......

I'd pay $1.30/bullet for that!!!!!

Hammers run faster due to their unique baring band configuration on the shank. I am running a 196 in my 300WM at 3200 fps without pressure. Not a typo!
