Define these words

Woman: An adult biological-female human being

That seems to cover it.


(It appears to me 😬 that I'm more of a biologist than a certain formerly-aspiring Supreme Court Justice.)

I never got more than a "C" grade in English. I tied for the 2nd highest grade at the big state university with a "D" grade. One "C", two "D's" and 20 "F's".

My grand parents cared for me while my parents worked and they spoke nothing but French (at least to me) being imigrants (legal, being wired in by $ zillionare, to be servants) they hoped I would be fluent in both but failed, no more than a "C" grade.

Then there are those that just dont know what they are saying- or care

I have a coworker at the hvac business I work at that says " in serious" --- not " in series"

But then again he says " can you get the dice from my bag" --- not "can you get the dikes from my bag"

Pea - a small vegetable

Your - belonging to you
Yore - of days gone by, the past
 
I live in Texas. Near us is the Pedernales River, but pronounced "Perdenales"! In town in a road spelled Manchaca, but pronounced "Manshack"! Many other examples, but it's commonplace.
 
Over the years, I think about the different words and pronunciations I've encountered.
Tensas River - "ten-saw"
Ouchita River - "wash-uh-taw"
Tehuacana Creek - "tuh-wok-enny"
Atchafalaya River - "uh-chaf-uh-lie"
Bedais Creek - "bee-die"
I'll stop there.
