I use H4350 for 165gr to 180gr bullets.
For 150gr and below I use IMR 4064.
180gr bullets over 4350 is deadly accurate!

..you already have the #1 ingredient H-4350 !! You can just about pick any bullet and odds are it'll shoot better than any other powder, H-4350, truly the "mother's milk " of all cartridges based off the /06 casing...in 60 ++ years I've found one better in all of them..
Been using N160 and Nosler 165 gr. BT in my REM 700. 30-06
I am still kicking buddy. I am not as busy as I used to be, getting older is the blame for that.

I have a couple of 30-06's and one like's 165 gr bullets best, and the other shoots 150 gr well.

Use H 4350 instead. Work up to around 2825-2900fps, wherever accuracy occurs. Should take 57-59 grains of powder.
BTW, the 165gn was designed for the .300 Win. The 168gn opens to lower velocities and is a better bullet for the .30/06. Deer won't know the difference though.

Exactly what the Aussie said above.
H4350 is the stuff. That's what I use in my '06. I loaded the 168 TTSX and took mine to South Africa, what a great combination.
