Dear pahunter , about how many rounds to shoot out a 204
I have have one it's a one holer , and thats very common i have heard in that caliber . I would like to shoot flys on target , one of these days .
Thanks for your time.
If you want to we can talk on a p.m. I would like your loaded data for the 204. My ambition is stopping coyotes and Bobcats.
This isn't some of that scam b.s. pahunter. I am 72 years and trying to think and act like I am 50 years. Still some things don't work like it use to . So up front no screw screw games here. I am being truthful pahunter , thanks ,
Buck

I had one built, I took the average of what the interweb said for load, loaded 15gr. +/- .01 lil gun, Rem 7 1/2 primer, 40gr v-max got me 3,500 fps same hole @ 100 never tried anything else..... was actually a little disappointed it was that easy to load for.

AA1680 works wonders in the 221, I load 44 grain hammer hunters in mine, I killed a huge wild boar with it just to test it out..bang flop lol

If you don't mind the drive (or just put in phone bid) the folks at redding auctions near Gettysburg move a lot of guns. I've seen some high and low prices on fireballs. The cz527s are a hot ticket currently. Prices very high. Also seen a couple XR100s go pretty low which was a surprise.

I put a 223 together on an origin action for a buddy. Now he wants a 221fb barrel to go.with it. On a controlled round feed action, the only question mark is whether I'll need to modify the 223 aics mags. I'm betting that I won't.

I got a buddy with a reamer and a barrel if you have an action
I have a reamer used once,

My smith had a heck of a time with extraction had to relocate ejector and modify a spacer for mag box.... have a once used reamer for that reason

yall need to shut this thread down before i'm tempted to go buy one lol!!

Just added a 222 to my collection looking forward to seeing how she runs with the rest of my crackers - Good Luck PA, fireballs are cool rounds never owned one but temped a time or two;

Anyone have a 221 fireball they no longer have space for and they're looking to rehome
You don't mention how you plan to use the Fireball. I have a just-broken-in .221 Fireball built on a Kelby Panda action, with a Kelby benchrest stock and a Shilen varmint weight stainless steel match barrel. Let me know if you are interested.

I have debated a 221 fireball or to neck it down and shoot a 20 Vartarg instead.

40 grain 22 cal bullets at 3500 out of the fireball seem like they'd be perfect for me and they're easier to find bullets locally than the 20 cals. But everyone that has owned both swears you'll never leave the Vartarg once you own one.
I have a 20 VarTarg, 17 Fireball, and I'm looking for a 221 Fireball as well; love the VarTarg. Racoons on the other hand, invading my garden and harassing my chickens do not. Hope the OP finds one, I think he will really like it.
