Went out and tested the 155 Gr terminal ascent bullet in my 7 PRC this afternoon. Got to 71.5 Gr before it started showing pressure signs. 71 grains shows real promise. Like a dumby, I forgot my chronograph so I don't know how fast it's going but I'll load some more 71 Gr and see.

Thanks...I'm going to try the 155 TA w/H1000. I'll be interested to hear what speeds you're getting.

I have H1000 as well and was curious about it but wanted to try the Ramshot Grand. They are pretty much the same powder haha. I'll chrono them on Monday or Tuesday.

I had one chambered in October.

First 6 shots on paper: Hornady 180 ELDM box ammo.

I like the 7mm PRC.

I'm struggling to try switching. I have a load with the 175 Bergers that shoots stupid good out to 1000. But like the idea of the TAs and want to see how they work on game.

.586 BC with the twist and COAL of most 7 PRC's?

TA's must really be something on game?
I'm just having fun. My limit on game is out to 800 yards and that's only if it's not windy. If it is, I just try to get closer. I don't worry about BC too much unless it's just atrocious. I know people worry about BC a lot and those people shooting game out to 1000 yards or more definitely need to.

I can tell you that the federal TLR bullet was really really good on game if you like bonded bullets. It's the same design on the interior of the bullet as the terminal ascent.
