I'm looking for advice on where to find and what to buy for mounting a TBAC Ultra 5 .30 to a 5/8x24 threaded barrel. This is my first suppressor and feel totally lost, so any help would be appreciated.

If it's direct thread it'll screw right on. If it's not snag a tbac brake that's 5/8x24 threads for your barrel. They make a model with shims for aligning the ports perfectly level like you would a muzzle brake or another model that's just screw on and go. Hope this helps and enjoy your suppressor!

Thanks, that helps.

ZReed85 gave you good advice. If it's a long range accurate rifle, Thunderbeast would tell you to buy a break for it. If you have any questions, just call Thunderbeast directly and they will answer your questions.

You could also look at the area 419 system. They make adapters for the thunder beasts. I had a friend who used that system for his and it was very slick. He could switch between the can and an area 419 brake depending on what he wanted to optimize very easily.

I've been meaning to make a post about this adapter. IF you have the CB threads on your TB, this is an amazing adapter option. I just got a pair in and am very happy with them. This style allows for switching between adapters and rifles much faster and easier, without locktite.

I, didn't realize quite what I was getting into with the CB mount system, but this mount allows quick swap with extreme minimal weight (I think they're about 1.4 oz). Fits my needs perfectly, highly recommend.

90% of my rifles are running suppressed.
I have 3 Thunderbeast suppressors. Ultra 9, Ultra 7, and Dominus. About to order a 4th this year.
All are the CB mount (not direct thread).
All my rifles use a 5/8"×24" CB (Compact Brake) and are Loctited on the barrel.
I swap suppressors between rifles weekly, and a lot of times swap between rifles daily.
No POI shift whatsoever.
Hand tight and snug with the suppressor to the CB brake.

If your Ultra 5 is the CB mount, you need one of the 30CB brakes or 30CB NTB in 5/8"×24".

If your Ultra 5 is a direct thread (already has the adapter welded in), you don't need anything else. Thread it on and go shoot.

Did you already order the suppressor? If so, you'll want to find out if it has the direct threads or CB threads. The CB threads are made so that it can be installed over their CB muzzle brake. I have a few rifles that I've put the CB brake on so that I can easily swap the suppressor.

Community Update: First, a very big thank you to all of you that have contributed to my education. My confidence level has more than doubled in just the last 24 hours, thanks to you taking time to respond. What a special community we have. Yes, I do have the suppressor and it is the CB configuration. I've also learned that the brake/adapter from TBAC aren't readily available based upon the sites I've checked, but I will keep looking. I did see where the 419 folks have something that looks similar, but I need to confirm that I'm getting the correct one. Also, thanks for the links and selection of videos to watch, they will no doubt help tremendously, as soon as I have time. The project is a 7mm PRC, Defiance Classic action, Proof Sendero Lite 20" barrel, McMillan Game warden stock, Hawkins Hunter bottom metal, and Nightforce NX-8, but not yet assembled, so no pictures for now. Thanks again!!!

Like others have stated, if you ordered a CB mounting suppressor, it should come with one CB brake. You would needed to have given them a thread size when you ordered it.

If you want additional 5/8"x24" CBs, everywhere I have looked are out of stock.
