300 WSM Barrel, Remington 700 Long Action, and Drop-In DBM

Specs
Action: Trued Remington 700 Long Action Mag Bolt Face *I had to have a slight amount material removed from the feed rails in order to make the WSM case feed properly. I have, however, put 7mm rem mag loaded rounds down in BDL mag box and although I obviously could not test it fully as a 300 WSM barrel is on the action, it did not seem to change how that would have functioned normally. Barrel: McGowen #2 Contour Remage 1-9" Twist 24" Muzzle Threaded 1/2"-28 TPI $250 OBO OR $300 With PTG Go/No-Go/Field Guages
DBM: Long Action Legacy Sports Ammo Boost BDL Drop In DBM *The 300 WSM must be fed by DBM in order for it to feed properly in this setup. SPF

The 1/2-28 threading on the barrel seems odd. On a 30 cal it's usually 5/8-24 isn't it

With heavier contoured barrels it is. With a contour like a #2 it is more typical to see a 1/2-28 to ensure you have enough shoulder for the brake to screw up against.

Action is SPF.

I am purchasing John's long action. I have a blued short magnum action that would mate with his barrel. If anyone would like it let me know.

I am not 100% sure. But, it is for a long action, so unless you built one on a long action, it's for sure a no. I am sorry this is the second time that happened. I should have made it more clear. I now corrected it in the post.

Ok, then I think it should work, as it fed the WSM fine, but not entirely sure. Let me do some checking and see if I can find out.
