Too light resistance in sightron siii turrets?

I've got an great offer to buy an used Sightron SIII 6-24x50 mil/mil scope with exposed tactical turrets. I already have an SIII 8-32 with capped turrets on my BR gun that I feel offers very light resistance when adjusting. I'm worried that the exposed turrets of the 6-24 scope would accidently get turned out of zero when carried in the field on rough hunting tips. Anyone out there that have experience from the SIII exposed turrets and can give me some input about my concerns?

I have a SIII 6-24, 2 moa reticle and mine has decent torque on the dials and very good and consistent click value. I do all my load work with it as it's 100% reliable. The lack of a zero stop is only downside, I see. I'd rate the click resistance as better than Leupolds, but not as good as March's.

Tanks for the input. Very pleased to with the 8-32. Very nice glass and reliable tracking. Any idea how it compares in resistance in turrets to the NF NXS scopes? Got one 5.5-22 om my 6.5x47L and those turrets are bombproof. Never moved accidently even though I've put it through som pretty rough handling.

I have had my elevation turret move one revolution on a 7+ mile hiking trip with a pack full of gear. This was on an siii 6-24. You can use a sharpie to block out the lines on the turret so you know where it is supposed to be or I put a mark in my drop chart so I know where the turret is supposed to be (3rd line up on the turret). Overall the siii is awesome.
