Thank you for all of the information. I’m going to look more at the wind inputs with the BR4 vs the AB software the Kestrel is using. Thanks again!

    Rangefinder recommendation

Vance, I have a buddy who uses the older bigger Gunwerks RF. It seems to work very well. What do you think the major improvements are with the BR4? What about entering wind data? That seems like a very awkward process with the BR4.

    Rangefinder recommendation

I'm down to two choices - Gunwerks Revic BR4 or Leica 3500. The price is basically the same. Will be used for hunting mainly with my 300 PRC. My hunting shots are under 700-800 yards. However, I like to stretch the PRC out in the summer. I probably know the least about the Revic. From...

Help me decide: Minimum caliber for larger NA game

I'm 5'10" 168#. Not a big guy and very adverse to recoil. I have a 300PRC with one of Ryan Pierce's (Piercision Rifles) 5 port brakes. It's amazing how little recoil the gun has. No problem shooting from a bench as much as I want. I also have a Tikka 6.5 CM Superlite. These two rifles...

Elk hunt sleeping bag...what would you do?

If you’re looking for a bag with a minus -20 rating then moisture isn’t going to be an issue when it’s anywhere near that cold. Therefore, you don’t have to debate synthetic vs down. I’d look at a Western Mountaineering down bag. Just watch the circumference around the legs. Some of their mummy...

What made you interested in long range shooting?

The simple answer - I thought is was really neat to be able to put all the variables together to deliver an accurate shot far away.

What’s your fur friendly coyote bullet

Here in WV, I hunt in small fields and in the woods so my shots are closer. I can have a coyote, fox or bobcat come in to a set so I was looking for a fur friendly bullet for something as small as a gray fox but capable of killing a coyote. A 50 gr Vmax in my .223 has done great. I've never...

Accuracy issues - who or what is to blame?

GSP, I've often wondered this myself. I've been around a lot of shooters in my nearly 50 years. I could count on one hand the number of guys that had the equipment and talent to shoot a multi-shot 1/4" group (excluding guys at actual benchrest competitions). However, when I get on internet...
