    Necking down lapua cases

Thanks, I tried necking down an old Winchester 308 case at a freinds place and we tried it in his tikka and there was no problem but when I got home and put it in my browning x bolt I could not close the bolt. I fixed it by running it through my die. I think the shoulder was to flat but I...

    Necking down lapua cases

I'm new to reloading and took some advice to use Laupua cases as they are ment to be the best. I shoot a 7mm08 and lapua only have 308 so I was going to neck them down. Can anyone see a problem with this.

    7mm-08 Loading

Is the problem the cold weather or the hot? It doesn't get that cold in Australia in the summer it's hot 42 Celsius and winter -3 at coldest. But when I go to New Zealand each year it can get cold but -20 would be extremely cold. I have a friend that uses h4350 and it works well for him but he...

If I could get packets of twenty...

I went thar shooting in April on the west coast of new Zealand. my cuzin shot a 12inch bull thar with his 270 wsm and the bullet didn't come out the other side. I have a browning x-boltt 7mm08 an I'm feeling a bit inadequate. I've just started hand loading...

What is a good projectile for shooting thar

Hi, I don't know if there is any Thar hunters out there but I just wanted to know what good projectile would be. I have been using 139 grain 7mm08 hornady ballistic tips to shoot kangaroos and when I shot a big buck roo in the shoulder I expected a big exit hole but there was none. I'm going to...

    Sako finnlight

Thanks Ralph, I was keen to have a look at a browning but they seem very few and far between in Australia or at least where I live in Nsw. My local Gus shops seem to be stocked by either Remington or barreta. And I must say I just sold a t3 300wsm and I think I'm for the smaller calibers now.

    Sako finnlight

I am thinking buying a sako finnlight in7mm08. I have never owned a sako but have owned a tikka t3 and was not that impressed as when I was hunting the magazine used to rattle quite loud. Can anyone tell me if they are as good as what I've herd.
