What were the specs on the Tac408 action you wanted? Maybe we can find a source for one, have your Smith cancel the action order with Stiller and have your gun finished in a month. Delivery estimates on custom parts dont always work as planned.

Stockys Stocks will do custom length of pull. Figure out the length of pull you want and see if they can do it.

I would definitely look at the Meoptas as well. I have a pair of the Cabelas Euro HD made by Meopta and the glass is great for the price. That said if Swarovski is on the table, buy once cry once.

Why do you say that? This gun won't be a gun where we sit there and burn barrels or shoot at the range all day. i would imagine she will shoot it twice a year and maybe every 2-3 years out hunting. Thanks for the insight. I actually was tossing around that gun and a Kimber. In the end, another reason for a custom build is that I have an In house gunsmith and he hasn't done a 700 build in about 2 years since Gunsmithing School. So I think it would be a good refresher course for him.
