My dad made a few hunts up Montana and Wyoming, years ago. Had fun, but seems the PD's are just starting to make a come back. Sierra Blanca, TX had a great size town, but rancher has since passed, so lost that access.

Woodnut, thanks for your input. I agree, the older I get the more I realize quality time is valuable. No need to work harder to safe a few buck. June up north sounds like a great plan. I'll post when I get something set up.

Rosebud, sounds familiar. Believe my dad got to shoot a few of those hunts, just remember him having a good time with 200 round days and lots of good company meeting new friends in the evenings. When we shot around Sierra Blanca, TX we would use .22's for first 50 shots, then work our way out...

Thanks for the encouragement, the ranch we used to hunt on is no longer. Open cattle ranges are going away. So sad. Hope you back heals as quickly as possible. Life is short, so we need to play hard when we can.
