light weight + quiet tripods- is there such a thing ?

The best is RRS. I use it the most. Give 2 Vets a good look as well, they make affordable tripods. My RRS is quick, light, not noisy, and very stable.

Whats the worse rifle or gun you ever bought ? I hsve several tied

For me it was an Robinson Arms XCR. I could not get that thing to group under 2 MOA. It's an awesome rifle, but I had to move it on.

Does Objective Size Make A Difference Reading Wind Mirage

That's awesome feedback. Hopefully I can shed some more light on what you were experiencing. Because the spotting scopes only have a focus knob, they are usually do not have a Parallax adjustment. Focusing is not the same as Parallax. So when you adjust your parallax you are looking for the...

Tough way to go out. Mountain lion attack

What annoys me the most is we kill more cats each year here than we did when hunting was allowed! Poor family and for the younger brother to witness that. The Coyotes are another major issue here, especially where I live. I have to ride my bike with my gun because of all the Mountain lions in...

    BULLET "POINTING"

I use the Whidden die system. I see about a 4% BC increase when pointing versus none. Again it's only improves some bullets, many bullet manufacturers are now pointing their bullets out of the gates or adding tips like the A-Tips

Does Objective Size Make A Difference Reading Wind Mirage

I have both... I prefer the 85 for hiking around because of the size differences. The 95 is a big spotter and you throw in the BTX it's even bigger. That's why the NF spotter would be interesting to try out. The 85 does everything, the 95 can do, but at lower light you get a tad, so they say...

Does Objective Size Make A Difference Reading Wind Mirage

I don't think so, it's more of a light transmission for spotting scopes. I have never noticed a superior optic with different mirage clarity. It's easy to see, but again I'm using mostly nice glass. But the low light conditions are very dependent on optic and objective lens sizing

New ADG 6.5 PRC brass not chambering

I've never had this issue. The amount of pressure will resize the brass no problem. I do this all the time with factory 338 Norma in my 338 NM AI chamber.. it's resized perfectly

    Worth reloading for gas guns?

I reload everything but .22's, too much of a pain to reload those... I stock up and I mean stock up so I reload it all. Saves money and I can get the most out of all my systems. I use factory ammo when someone is providing it, or it's a great price (Below Wholesale)

    What would you do?

I'd get a Lazzeroni Warbird. If you're going to handload. Plus no one shoots it these days so plenty of ammo available from John (Lazzeroni). It will smoke anything at 1K
