  • have had a lot of fun shooting coyotes lately. stolen from a t.v. show, i just use a turkey tail feather tied to a stick with about 6 inches of string. set it out about 80 yds from your hiding spot and start calling. gives you a little time to reposition for the shot as the coyotes are focused on the feather blowing in the wind. always a breeze here in north texas. the shots dont seem to bother the deer as i have shot coyotes with deer just a few hundred feet from me. but where i hunt, there is always somebody shooting at something on the neighboring ranches so the deer get used to it. i have used a 7 mag this fall on these critters and they dont stand a chance with my mildot scope. i have worked out the references on the dots for the yardages
with the bullet i use and the magnification power setting.
