Why would bad tracking have any effect of the suitability of FFP vs SFP? If anything FFP would be better as holdovers could be used at any mag range, unlike SFP. Regardless, the VX5 and VX6 lines are proving to track well and return too zero just fine.

Just remember, not all of us are as tough as you. Until the actual spec's come out it's hard to form a solid opinion, but the chances are by going for a 34mm tube it's going to be heavier than a 30mm would've been. The only thing a 34mm tube is good for is extra elevation, hence the new ZL3...

The clicks on my VX5hd are really good, tactile and audible. Zero lock works really well also.

If weight is of utmost importance go for Swarovski Z3 or Z5. If you are happy to take a little more weight the VX5/VX6 Leupolds offer excellent features and glass for a reasonable price.
