hi bowhunter57 what you got will take them out with out them running off . i take out alot of dogs in a year i like to use a 22-250 and when they are close a 12 gauge works will . but i take fur. good luck and have fun

No brakes on my 300 or any of my guns. Just go to a heaver gun all my guns weigh a few pounds and when fired they feel like a 223 and yes i hunt with them.
