I've been getting great results with a 168 gn Berger, 66.1gn 4831SC, and CCI 250's. my 300 WSM isn't a super custom gun by any means and it throws those very well. I know it's not as fast but it's consistent. Still looking for a faster round. And from what I gather the 4831 sc is a really stable...
So this is a 2 part question. I've been reloading FC brass for my .300 WSM because it seems like I can frequently find their cheap 180gn factory stuff. I thought this was a good option cause it seemed to shoot well for just plinking a bit and the cases looked beautiful after 1 trip through the...
Been playing with these guys in my AR for a while now. I feel the same as you I guess. Some days I feel like I'm getting the results I want with all rounds touching on paper and measuring less than .5" groups and other days I get flyers and get disappointed with my pet. But I use the 69gn BTHP...

I'm not really sure what varmiter contour fits? My gun is a .300 WSM rem 700 SA with a factory barrel. Will that work with my gun and is that the best fit HS offers for that model? Sorry I'm not super well versed in HS stocks yet and it seems like there's a million different stocks to choose from.
Re: Bullets and Brass: 243/6mm, 30Cal, 25Cal, 300WM
I'll take the 180 gn nosler tips, 180 gn Sierra tips and the pistols primers if they're still available.
Gotcha!! lightbulb
Thanks, a chrono is the next thing I'm getting for sure. I guess my speed right now by what the books tell me that load will produce. Not a real rock solid analysis though. I'm kinda convinced I need to go to 180 gn tips. Any pet loads with 180's I should try?
