    Hornady Versus Redding dies

Depends what you're end game is. Shooting competition? Hunting? Long Range? If your shooting to win then anything that can make your loads more consistent is important. I try to buy the standard Forster dies for everything, but have also had great results with Redding, RCBS, etc. I don't have...

    178 ELD-X projectiles: leads needed!

I was in the same boat, except I built my load on the 178 AMAX. This R700 20" 1/10 shoots them into 1 hole. Everything else is at least 1 MOA or bigger. I thought I tried everything until I bought some pulled 175gr. SMK. Using the same load data as the 178 AMAX this shoots into 1/2" @ 100 yards...

    Do all rifle???

This is my pick as well. With a good 130gr. Bullet it will take antelope and deer way out there. With a 150 partition it will handle everything else on this continent. Easy shooting, medium recoil and you can find ammo most everywhere. It's also easy to workup an accurate handload. Also want to...

    .308 Load for Multiple Rifles?

Yes, I meant to type 2505. I am happy with this velocity and accuracy. Primers are just starting to flatten and no ejector swipes. Really surprised the velocity is identical out of an 18" and 20" barrel. Both are 1 in 10 twist. I chronoed them several times with 5 shot groups over an Oheler 35...

    .308 Load for Multiple Rifles?

Guys, wanted to give you an update. I ran some ladders with the 178 AMAX and Varget. I ended up with 44 grains being the best. It shoots 1/2 MOA out of my 20" Rem 700 in XLR chassis and 1 MOA out of my Larue 18" AR. Also of note is that this load shoots an average of 2505 FPS out of both barrels...

Any experience with that load in Lake City brass? What brass do you use?

    .308 Load for Multiple Rifles?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I would buy some GMM to run over the chrono but you know what my chances are in scoring any kind of ammo are right now. :-(

    .308 Load for Multiple Rifles?

I want to put together a single .308 load using a 178 AMAX to be used across a Larue AR and 3 bolt guns. While I realize I would best be served by developing a separate load for each rifle, I want to have a single load on hand that I can run in any of the rifles. I am not looking for bench rest...

    Cheap Truck Gun set ups

I'm going to go against the norm. My truck gun is an 6.5 Grendel AR with 16" barrel and fixed 4x scope. It has been through some pretty rough treatment and gets the job done every time. You can put one together pretty inexpensively. Checkout Primary Arms for optics.

    Load Development Without Shooting Groups?

Does this suggest that for LR accuracy, the data resulting from chronoed loads is more important / more heavily weighted than the resulting groups shot at 100 or 200?

    Load Development Without Shooting Groups?

This may be a stupid question and way over simplified, but it is something that has been bugging me, so thought I would ask. Whenever I read instructions about shooting OCW, Ladder or other methods of group development, I keep seeing comments to the effect of... "In most instances the best...
