What is the most overbore cartridge YOU HAVE USED?

I have a few overbore calibers and the one I enjoyed most was a 6mm/7mag shooting a 95 gr Ballistic Silvertip. Velocity was 3750fps trajectory was like a banjo string. Dead on at 200 and hold on the top of the coyotes shoulders and dead yote at 450 yds. A George Vias built rifle, and it's still...

    '95 Chilean Mauser replacement magazine.

'95 Chilean Mauser replacement magazine, it can be the whole trigger guard if necessary. I have found them for '98 Mauser but that seems to be about it. I am switching the action to a cock on open. My arthritis in my hands make it very hard and slow to use the cock on close original version...

My New Remarms ADL 7mm RM.

That IMR 4350 with the orange dust is the powder breaking down. The Roses will love it—- makes the thorns longer. 😊

My New Remarms ADL 7mm RM.

I hope the rifle turns out satisfactorily for you as I also just acquired a new sps stainless. I did that after my friend’s new REM long range in a 7 prc shot so well—3 shots with all touching 175 gr. Factory ELDX, I was impressed. I’m so heavily invested in the 7mm REM mag , with powders...

    Semi or O/U

Gauges 20 or 28 for the younger kids older and larger kids can maybe handle the 12ga. Don’t even think about the 410 as it is mostly an experts caliber, it is not a guag.

    Semi or O/U

I live basically in the shotgun world. I have been shooting competitively since I was 14, and I still am, but nowadays at 79 I don’t tour the tournament trail like I used to. I am a Level lll Sporting Clays Instructor with World & National titles. The best all around shotgun that I have found...

Muzzle brakes for long range shooting.

Has anyone ever used a SHREWD muzzle brake sold by Brownells? It looks just like a Vias brake that George Vias designed many years ago and then sold to a gunsmith in Texas --Ron Bartlett-- now deceased. If you have ever used the Shrewd brake how did it work for you?

    I need a copper remover

Rooster My local distributor in San Antonio said for me to give you his phone number. I will not put his name out here but call him at 210-316-9428. He will give you the info you need to order it. Now to answer your question it is a very fine lubricant and metal protector. The key ingredient is...

    I need a copper remover

I have tried all the above and they all work ( from hoppes to Sweets) to a degree but some are wait 24 to 48 hours and wipe the barrel out. I have gone entirely to Bore tech carbon remover and then the copper out.. It cleans quickly and easily. 10 minutes on mildly fouled barrels to 15 to 20...

    7mm STW Reloading Thread

Seated to 3.858" C.O.L. Does this interfere with the magazine loading, sounds a little long unless you have something longer than the factory set-up.

What is your baseline zero a dial adjustable scope?

I use Kenton Ind. knobs on my Vortex scopes and my zero is 200 yds. That’s the way the elevation turret is marked. That is the first mark you see. No counting click’s just dial it and shoot. If the target is 50 or 100 yds. you’re only talking about 1 or 1.5 inches difference. It keeps things simple.
