Fired up the binos and the app this spring after about 4 months and all my rather ammunition costly ballistic profiles are no where to be found.. Leica has been radio silent.. Anyone else experience this or refind their profiles?
Im looking for a lower recoiling, heavy barreled rifle option to get a couple more rounds downrange while my hunting rigs are cooling down between shots (my 300 win howa gets burning hot after 5 shots and starts stringing bad, and takes 15 minutes to cool back down). Instead of twiddling my...
This chassis was a big upgrade over the hogue stock that came with my Howa which was really flexible. With a free floated barrel with just factory torque specs this chassis tightened groups up significantly. Paid $420. For sale $300 shipped via paypal and Ill throw in 2 magpul .300 win AICS Mags...
In big country it can be hard to confirm points/size or even if there are other animals around with 15x. 30x+ from a spotter can also find game on an entirely different mountain or basin. They are different tools. But swaro 15s are **** near the zenith for pure game finding in most western...
Wondering why you guys are switching stocks? My .270 UL shoots **** near same hole with that flimsy unbedded tupperware! You guys seeing performance benefits from switching?
I agree, just now starting to see some reasonable ammo prices (not in my calibers) but still....if we dont pay what the scalpers are pricing it at, it will help!
Badlands and eberlestock make good packs but are not the best at heavy load packouts...ie anything over 80lbs for a mile or longer. Kifaru was the beat gear purchase ive made and I can now pack out a full mule deer. Do that with a badlands and youll be flirting with nerve damage or compressed disks.
Depends on the kind of terrain, if its early season elk in CO, even if you're in tip top mtn shape, 5 days of bombing up and down the hills all day will do in most folks and you can usually find aninals and get an opportunity in that period of time if youre an experienced hunter. I like 2 days...
The oryx was a relatively affordable addition to my howa. $400 about 4lbs. Went from shooting ok groups with the occasional flyer with the cheap flexible hogue stock to significantly tighter groups, helped with recoil mgmt and triggerhand wrist position. Love shooting it prone and helped me...
Yes I have both the guide lid and the grabit. I usually dont use the guide lid unless its a cold late season hunt and I'm bringing the stove extra insulation. The grab it is a good addition too.
I have had the Nomad for about 5 seasons and its the bomb. I purchased an ultralite mtn research 40 L dry bag to use when backpacking with for the sleep system. Once I leave camp I have a tight(non sagging) daypack that I can carry out a whole mule deer with. Never have to worry about bloodying...
