I've only bought / sold on here a few times but I completely agree that feedback is an important "safety net" of sorts when buying / selling items online from strangers. Even more so considering the price of many items sold on a forum like this. I have always left feedback for a buyer / seller...

This is a very valid and overlooked point on this thread. I too once thought I wanted a .223 trainer barrel but it's really not worth the hassle of the extra bolt head and magazine. I'll be ordering a 22GT barrel next, in place of the .223.

I haven't read through all the responses but something to consider before stepping up to the AR-10 is weight. I just sold my 6.5CM AR-10 largely due to weight, I just never wanted to haul it around. There are plenty of AR-15 cartridges that would do well on game up to deer size.
