I currently run my 10x off the tri-pod, looking to move up to the 12x ELs

I just sold my 18x mavens and went with the btx. The binos were great, verdict is still out on the Btx. I'll make a decision after the season but it's a lot of weight in the pack and it's oddly shaped.

That one is not quite true, they issued depredation tags for outside the park (I hunted it) and let hunters inside the park as well. So exact opposite, they did use hired guns to finish the job but only after we did our work

Big fan of the zeiss v4 here, optically great glass and if vision were a concern I’d imagine a fire dot would be helpful.

Haha that’s the kind of truth I need, do you feel like a 243 is enough for Rocky Mountain mule deer. I usually use my 300 WinMag but i really enjoy packing around the 243 and want to tweak into a more lightweight gun but would hate to lose an animal for poor blood trail even with a well placed...

I was under the impression that all tikkas were built off a long action but this all highlights my lack of knowledge.
