Victorinox skinning and flexible 6 inch boning knife...sometimes just a Mora. If I am going to cut out elk antlers, I bring back a bone saw after my first load of meat. I skin and debone one half then roll over and do the same on the other half. Then cut next to the spine and reach in/remove...
There was a similar thread posted last month and so I will just copy and paste my reply to that thread as it seems to fit yours as well. He had the Savage High Country as a possibility as well.
There have been a lot of answers to your questions in this thread but no one has brought up the...
There have been a lot of answers to your questions in this thread but no one has brought up the limitations of the platforms. It seems that some of the posters are not exactly doing you a service with their answers. I don't pretend to have all the answers but I hope I can give you some things...
I would like to think that too. Unfortunately, experience has told me that you give the government a hammer and they are sure to see nails everywhere. That is how our rights are being eroded constantly. I don't have a problem with banning the trail cameras on public land. I have a huge...
I understand the regulation just fine. The regulation says you can not use it to aid in hunting. It also says you can use it to take wildlife photography even on public land. In fact, it says they have no ability to regulate cameras for those uses. The part I don't understand is how are they...

Yeah I read the whole thing. Officers have discretion. And therein lies the problem doesn't it. Are the officers now thought police? Ranchers want them for a lot of things but what is going to stop law enforcement from charging them? What if someone puts up a game camera at a water hole and...
And if Fish and Game find a camera on private land how do they know what it is being used for? They can just go after the land owner. Also, since 98% of the land is private, why did they not exclude the private land?
I am waiting for someone to manufacture an AICS pattern long action dimensioned magazine that can take short action cartridges. How awesome would it be to be able to just twist the barrel off and switch the bolt head so you can shoot your magnum hunting rifle all year as a .223 then just swap...
Limiting cameras on public land is one thing. Private is another. Put in a private land exclusion. The way it is written right now is BS. This will be abused. Someone define what a "game camera" is.....and think about the second order effects of this. This literally becomes a thought crime...
