When I done a search it was about a:
I am using this bullet in a rifle we built to use as a legal Indiana deer rifle. Its called a 358 Grant 1.8. It is based off a WSM case trimmed to 1.8", necked up to .358, with a 40* shoulder and very little body taper.
Sorry if I throw some kind...
No reason just trying to learn as much as I can. Not being able to shot much past 100 yds has me trusting the ballistic calculators more than I want to. If I can trust it out to 250 yds its going to be a good year. Not here to make any waves just info and all I can get.
my range is only 100yds so weight does not seem to be much difference. The group you have at 225yds have you tried different weight at that distance and if so is the 180 your best group?
Cool stuff. Gets old when everyone wants to say how stupid it is. It is what it is and glad not everyone is running around with a rifle. Those distances are very impassive! What kind of drop you seeing out at 500 yards?
There hard to come by. My first shipment was 308's shipped me the wrong order. And then there was only 200gr and 250gr left. I had some 250 already. Glad some one else is playing with these rounds. If I can get it shooting good out to 300yds I am all good. That's a lot further than I have gone...
I wonder about the speeds in the ballistic charts seem the the 200gr would be right in the middle. I got some 250 hornadys that I going to try as well. I not pushing much over 2500 fps though. Oh and really great info glad I found this place.
