    H4350 substitute

This is what I'm using for our 6.5CM (140gn match burners) as well... and it's just sitting on the shelves around here. In fact, it's about the only thing sitting on shelves but I'm really happy with it so far.

    Wyoming Hunt Advice

We left Casper for AK in 2017... I know it's been covered thoroughly but the weather in Casper is just nuts. We have taken the kids trick-or-treating in shorts, and in a foot of snow. One time it snowed a few inches on July 4th. Lol... And Don Juan's has the best Mexican food in town, IMO...

look who was waiting for me

The thing about Louisiana... as bad as the mosquitos are, there are a lot of worse things flying around than mosquitos. 😅

look who was waiting for me

Haha! I remember chasing the "fogger" truck through the neighborhood as a kid back in the 70's... surprised I don't have a 3rd eye or something. 😆

look who was waiting for me

Certainly is one big perk to living in Alaska! Basically no bugs of any kind to be concerned about. I heard ticks may be on their way here but I haven't seen one yet. But Alaskans do love to whine about mosquitos... which I guess is really a matter of perspective. Having spent most of my...

    Barnes Match Burners

Just ordered a couple hundred for a new 6.5 CM project... definitely interested to hear of others experience as well. Thanks!

    Wife's Rifle!

I'm also in the process of building a 6.5 CM for my wife, and I made the mistake of showing her a "rose gold" chassis on the MPA website... I didnt realize she would like it *that* much. Lol...

    SOLD/EXPIRED Rem 700 PSS 300WM

Oh! I can see the difference with the stock now. Sorry about that...

    SOLD/EXPIRED Rem 700 PSS 300WM

I don't know if this helps but it appears to be identical to the Remington 700 Long Range I purchased new around 4 years ago. I don't know whether there were any significant differences between the PSS and the Long Range though. Either way, mine has been a great gun... sub MOA for sure.

Reduced Load in 6.5 PRC, Accuracy Concerns?

Thank you so much Muddyboots! This is great information! I was concerned there could be safety issues with going too far minimum load specs... I definitely won't do that! From this data, I think 47.5 grains will certainly be doable for her. That really is getting a bit softer than 308. And...

Reduced Load in 6.5 PRC, Accuracy Concerns?

Thank you So I Hunt! Since a "typical" load for a 6.5 PRC is in the 55-60 grains neighborhood, will there be any issues (besides the obvious I stated above) if I reduce the load to 40-45 grains?

Reduced Load in 6.5 PRC, Accuracy Concerns?

I haven't purchased any bullets for this project yet but was thinking along the lines of a Nosler 140 gn Custom Comp. Thanks!

Reduced Load in 6.5 PRC, Accuracy Concerns?

Hello! Still a bit wet behind the ears but I have managed to develop a few decent loads so far... In this case, I'm purchasing a rifle in 6.5 PRC that will primarily be used by my spouse who is a bit recoil averse. I suspect she will quickly overcome any issues (she is great with skeet) and...

Back from vacation, broken freezer, smelly garage.

That is the worst! Lost a freezer full of Kenai Red Salmon & about 30 lbs of halibut a couple of years ago. There were tears...
