Hi. I am going to the forest tomorrow to zero my rifle. I have a Barska ar15 1x30 scope on it. What is the best zero distance so I don’t have to worry about hold over?

I have a Vortex crossfire II 3-9x40. I zeroed my 300 win mag at 200 yards today, with the scope zoom level on 9x. I am now concerned that I will have trouble seeing what I’m looking at if a deer walks out at 50 yards with a 9x magnification. Can I switch it to 3x and it will still work? Any help...

How can I tell that the first few inches is clean? It looks like it is when looking from the bolt position. but when I look down the muzzle end you can’t tell the copper is there either only when looking at it from a sharp angle. If that makes any sense

Well that’s good to hear that you’ve run into similar circumstances. I was shooting 3/4 inch groups at 150 yards when I was done. Also I apologize about the focus, someone tell Apple they need a 4th camera!
