    Reviews please! Howa 1500.

My heavy barrel 6 Creedmoor at 285 yards. Factory hogue stock. Only mods is a trigger job on the hack trigger and added a legacy bottom magizine kit. Had a standard barrel 6.5 CM that shot really well also. Traded it to my father in law a couple of years ago. He still uses it for whitetails.

    Never Spoil your Bird Dog!

Roy, Doesn't like hogs, coyotes, or possums. Great companion for the past 8.5 years. Has Cushings disease, diagnosed a little over a year ago. Will surely miss him when the time comes.

    Blast from the past

Grew up in a small rural unincorporated town in Texas. Dad bought me a craftsman knife at a early age and I got a free whet stone from Sears and Roebuck. An older gentleman in the community showed be how to sharpen a knife. Dad was the Highschool principal and basketball coach. We would travel...

    cci200's

Scheels in Overland Park Kansas had Remington 7 1/2 and CCI 400 SR primers a couple of weeks ago for $59/1000 on sale, but didn't notice any LR primers at the time I was in the store. This is the cheapest price I've seen primers in in recent years.

If a man speaks in the wilderness where no woman can hear --- is he still wrong?

A man dies and goes to Heaven, when he enters there are two lines waiting to get in the pearly gates. One line says men that were hen pecked by there wives. This line was very long. The other sign said men that were not. Only one guy was standing in this line. So a bunch of guys went up to him...

    K&P Rifle Barrels

We toured there factory sometime in the mid 1990's when they were in Raton NM. Great people. They made several barrels for the BPCR crowd in 45 and 40 caliber. A friend bought numerous barrels and are still being used. They performed very well.

The last time I was there it was Riverfield's. That's been several years ago.

Billy Fred's had a friend that worked there. Hadn't thought of this place in a long time. Nice gun shop back in the day.

    Remington 700 Help

If it has the Xmark pro trigger it is definitely a later gun. I think they started putting these in around 2008 +-.

My granddaughter and her boyfriend came up from the Houston area this week. He killed his first buck and a couple of hogs. He was super excited.

What powder do you use in your 6 creedmoor?

Didn't see it mentioned but R 16 is another good choice.

    What 22cal would you build?

I have the same rifle, great little shooter. Try the 64 grain Winchester power point. It should stabilize in the 1-14 twist. I have played with this bullet a little in mine but didn't spend much time with load development. You might give Varget and 8208xbr a try.

Not that I remember, mostly the 70 grain Speer for hogs. 70 grain Blitz king for coyotes.
