    I just bought a 28 Nosler ...

I’ve had a 28 nosler for several years. It’s an exceptional caliber so congrats on your choice. I bought mine mainly for elk hunting. I’m not really a long range shooter but I wanted something that would shoot relatively flat for 300 plus yards. I see like me, other folks here reload the...

At what point are you done with load development?

Before Covid I spent a lot of time and money developing a load. But with hunting local here in NC I keep my shots almost entirely under 200 yards. I still like one MOA or less but if it's under 2 now I'm good especially knowing most rounds will probably be at or under one MOA. I save so much...

    Wow Primers $1600.00 for 5000

I guess ya gotta look at things open minded these days. If you are older like me, 5k worth of primers might be a lifetimes worth. If you're a competitive shooter it might be just a years worth but if it's your only source what do ya do? I live near a small private shooting range I belong to and...

    Savage 110 Reliable? Weaknesses?

Savage's I've owned and loaded for have been more accurate and reliable than their cost should allow. Of course that's a good thing. That's especially true of a 110. Only reason I haven't chosen a Savage in the past for one of my Elk hunt's is that I have to hump a rifle over the mountains...

    RIP gunbroker.com

I think it was the Trojans. Seriously though I logged in fine first time but I'm a day late to the party as usual.

Help with Right handed / left eye dominant teen shooter

I'm late to the party here but I am right handed but left eye dominant also. I'm 70 and been that way all my life. I shoot a bow left handed and shoot a rifle left handed and it feels natural. I had thought at times to buy a left handed rifle but after all these years it probably wouldn't...

    Xbolt max

Thanks Ga6570. Initially I thought it had to be wrong also which is why I went to the browning home page. I hope Browning got it wrong on the home page and they probably did but I do know some of their lower priced models still use the 9.5 twist in the 7mm mag so it is still a question mark...

    Xbolt max

Wow, I thought for sure this had to be wrong so I went to Browning's website as I thought since Browning had gone to faster twists in some of their hells canyon models surely they would have gone to a faster twist rate for the 7mm Rem Mag in a long range model. But sure enough, it's a 9.5...

    Accuracy versus velocity

Sounds totally logical to me. But case life matters too, at least to me anyway, but if case life isn't suffering and no signs of over-pressure then why not go with the higher charge? Brass is so expensive now a days and the better brass seems to disappear completely for a period of time making...

    New Guy question

Wow, I looked at the picture of your 3 shots on the plate at 400 yrds and that's better than good! I've shot for a long time and from what I see on the plate just keep doing things exactly as you are! I live in Oxford NC. Nice shootin!!!

    Case trim length

Like DOK said above. If you measure you would likely find your TRUE max case trim length is actually much longer than the book trim length. If you're crunching your powder while loading, trimming to your actual max length can be another benefit to trimming your cases longer.

    Help- I’m squeamish

Hi, I would recommend you start small, as in small animals like a rabbit or a grouse or pheasant. Not as much mess but helps prepare one for bigger things like elk.

    Hammer Bullets

I hope no one's thinking I'm a fan boy. At 70, a old fart fan would be a much more accurate description!
