Oregon has one elk tag and you can use it for archery or rifle !

If you harvest an elk during archery season you cannot hunt during the rifle season in oregon

I think that you're seating too close to the lands for a hunting load ! I would measure your family story round ,load a few rounds with your receipe and try them ! If results are good I would back off to 020 to .050 from the lands !

Zeiss glass is great but if you're serious about long range 609 HD up then take a hard look at the kahles 50x

I had the same problem when I bumped the shoulder too much ! Complete separation due to incorrect headspace! You only need to bump the thickness of a dollar bill !

I have successfully 160 gr. Bullets in my 7mm STW and 180 accubonds in my 300 wsm both are very effective

Check your neck diameter, you may have a tight chamber and need to neck turn you casings !

I use the deprive toil in my press but they make a primer catcher for a couple of dollars that solves your problem !

You mightoik into a tikka t3 lite either 7mm or 300 ! Elk are tough so I lean toward the 300 but have dropped several elk with the 7mm and 7mmstw !

I wo I would try the zeissconquest in 2.4x10 it's a great scope at a decent price !
