Did you make the hunt last year?

I guess they were just getting stuck from there being nothing in the barrel just dry. Seems weird I could run tons of dry patches thru after using hoppes copper bore cleaner, but not more than 2 dry patches after the wipe out.

Ya 2 dry ones made it thru before they started getting stuck. Everything has been the same. Im thinkin it must just be the bore is so dry now they aren't sliding thru. Or the patches I'm using, which are pro shot round patches, maybe some bigger ones were in the package from the factory. Been...

Ok Im having the worst luck with this gun! Let wipe out soak overnight. Woke up and filled barrel again then 1 hour later ran patches thru it. Well on the third patch it got stuck right after the lands. Wouldn't budge. Had wife hold gun on floor while I yanked it out. Same patches I've been...

Thank you everyone for the help and input! Decided to try wipe out. However now Im a little worried that I coulda messed up the barrel by all my excessive brushing ha that would be spendy mistake! And also wondering how Im gonna work up a good load for it cause I don't know at what point my gun...

It shot a 1" group at about 150yrds somewhere within the first 10 shots. Havent grouped it again since I took the scope off. Only shot it 16 times so far. And that was with a load I just threw together didn't mess with load at all.

I will try a nylon brush like that. Would you say its clean then and just falsely looks fouled? Just wondering if I should shoot it and continue to break in the barrel or make sure to get it clean clean before I shoot it again and continue with the breaking in?

I got a Hogue stock for mine. Got a stock for a Remington senduro and had to dremmel it out to free float the barrel.

So it could be clean just colored from the brush? How do I tell when its all the way clean then? Just by the color on the patches im guessing?

I have a Magnum Research carbon fiber lined barrel chambered in 7mm Rem Mag. Just been trying to break in the barrel and I cannot get the copper fouling out! I've used BoreTech Copper remover, Hoppes Copper solvent and even tried some JB Bore paste. I don't have a barrel camera so cant see what...

Sounds good i will. Im ordering the barrel today and got a hogue stock and jewell trigger waitin for it. I still have to find an action for it tho. Im goin with with a 700 action for sure. Not sure what scope im gonna go with yet.
