Newbie (Old Fart) headed that way for the summer and fall. Any ideas on public land or good places in western half of the state? I'll base out of Rapid City, single and have two good rifles in my full-time RV, pulled by an F-250 4X4. Any ideas on how to get started? "Red Moose"

If I got a new CZ 550 Varmint in .308, is it practical to re-barrel it to a 1:10 twist 243AI? And what else (besides a new barrel - duh) would be required? This is desired because I have a CZ 527 and LOVE that single set trigger! And who is your recommendation for this project? Thanks...
