    Reloading in the garage??

The temperature might keep you a bit more alert. I can't work in an unheated space because I swage my bullets and the temperature of the die affects it's performance when point forming and core swaging. Bill

Woohoo, I earned my stupid badge today...

Ya know what, Coke tastes just as bad with Hornady One Shot floating arund on top. Harder to clean off the reloading bench after spraying it out ,too.:D Got my stoopid badge that day. Midle of summer too. Got the portable a/c pointed into the reloading room and still 85 degrees in there...

Forming 308 brass out of other brass?

Found a ton of it here: Used .308 Brass For Sale - Compare Prices, Reviews and Buy at Nextag - Price - Review When I was looking months ago, got some used Lapua out of Canada. Granted it was military and had to have the primer pocketws reamed out. Work of one evening. Got 300 for under 100...

    Ordered my Annealing machine

OK, thought about it for about 3 months, while healing up from shoulder surgery. I spent a lot on 300 cases for Lapua 308 and I need to get every loading out of them I can. I went with Tom Wilson's Anneal-Rite machine because I was able to touch and ghet up close with it at the Original Ft...

Small rifle primer vs small pistol primer???

I think your firing pin might punch through too easily, The SRP are harder and the base is a little thicker. I wouldn't try it. Bill

    Favorite Brass

Bought 300 pieces of Lapua in 308 from a nice Canadian recently. He was worried that a few weren't completely tarnish free. Man that stuff is nice. Every piece is just like every other piece and loads sooooo easy. When the Dr lets me go back to the range, I've already got several different...

    Dirty Brass

If simply carbon stain, 8 minutes in the ultrasonic cleaner with 5 drops of Dawn and 1 tablespoonful of Lemi Shine, then 30 minutes in the walnut will make it look like new.

    Best Way to Trim

Stainless Tumbling Media... anyone use this?

Yes, 8 minutes per 50 rounds ,1 tablespoonful lemishine and 5 drops of Dawn 32 oz water. Every bit of crud is out and the brass is perfectly clean. To get that polished look, I put it in the Walnut with nu finish for 30 minutes. Absolutely look brand new. Bill

RCBS, hornady or Lyman 4 a auto powder dispenser?

I have the Hornady and love the $100.00 it saved me over the RCBS while being reliable through 50 44grn 308 Win reloads last week. Once it overran the 44 grns by 0.1grn. Beeped to let me know and redid the dispense properly the next run. Yeah, I like the convenience. Each charge was ready...

    Electric Powder Measure - thoughs

Beams are great and accurate as the user that operates them. For me, the trade off is in time and satisfaction. My household current underwent a $10,000.00 upgrade last year in my quest to safeguard my family with an upgrade to the supply board from a 100 to a 200 amp board, whole house...
