38, 37, 45 in that order based mostly on land accessibility they all have elk. If you are a resident and can hunt wilderness then that opens up 41 and 36
At any distance the .260 would be useful on moose I doubt there would be a practical difference between a MOA load and a 1/4 MOA load on such a large animal. I don't know what distances you typically shoot your moose at but the 6.5 sweed has slayed them with 160gr round nose bullets for some...
With bartlein, Krieger, brux, and criterion barrels all in state you would think we would have lots of Smiths to choose from.

I've shot standing...
Matching reticle and turrets are the ONLY way to go, anything else is foolish. With that said, I think mils is a more robust system particularly when you discover that many "MOA" turrets are actually IPHY(inch per hundred yards) which leaves you with a reticle that almost but not quite matches...
Hey all, new to the forum.
When I was 11 my dad bought me a Winchester Mod 70 classic featherweight in .270win. I've killed plenty of animals with it. 6 years ago, before I knew anything about long range shooting, I killed a muley with it at 692yds. It was luck and I would not attempt that...
