    260. Rem for moose?

At any distance the .260 would be useful on moose I doubt there would be a practical difference between a MOA load and a 1/4 MOA load on such a large animal. I don't know what distances you typically shoot your moose at but the 6.5 sweed has slayed them with 160gr round nose bullets for some...

    A good gunsmith in Wisconsin

With bartlein, Krieger, brux, and criterion barrels all in state you would think we would have lots of Smiths to choose from. I'm in the market for a new barrel on my M70.

    Who is from Wisconsin!

Rock county here. I prefer to hunt "up north" where you actually feel like you are in the wilderness. But I see more and bigger deer on the farm land down here. Just got back from a muley hunt near Ten Sleep WY. Never got the big one so I brained a big doe for the meat. Already planning...

    Tripod shooting sticks

I've been hunting out west for 18 years and other than being in big timber I can't think of a situation where I could not get to at least I high kneel for shooting over obstructions. In the timber I don't carry a shooting aid because God provided us with trees to brace off. I've shot standing...

    Mil-Dot vs Mrad hash reticle

Matching reticle and turrets are the ONLY way to go, anything else is foolish. With that said, I think mils is a more robust system particularly when you discover that many "MOA" turrets are actually IPHY(inch per hundred yards) which leaves you with a reticle that almost but not quite matches...

    Update my Mod 70

Hey all, new to the forum. When I was 11 my dad bought me a Winchester Mod 70 classic featherweight in .270win. I've killed plenty of animals with it. 6 years ago, before I knew anything about long range shooting, I killed a muley with it at 692yds. It was luck and I would not attempt that...
