Well, I was looking for a Rem 700 in a .243 and ended up getting a Rem 660 in a .243.........nice little rifle. It has already been sent to Remington for the trigger problem. Other than that, I dont know much about the 600/660 series. If anybody could educate me a little, that would be awesome...

I have a old sears single shot .22 that my 10 year old shoots and I have a Rem 597 with a cheap red dot on it. We havent gone out to 200yds but we plink at 100or so and it is fun. Thing is, he out shoots me from time to time with his old single shot.......he giggles and I cringe.......
