Are the Eld x bullets that bad

Same combo a couple of years later, 425 yards if memory serves. Notice the entrance wound. She dropped and I mean right now. Destroyed the leg bone just below the shoulder knuckle. Blew threw both lungs and lodged under the hide. Fantastic performance. P

162 eldx, 7mm Rem Mag One shot, he went maybe 20 feet. We use the 150 eldx out of 7mm-08s for deer. Similar experiences. P

Meanwhile on RS they're killin bear, deer, elk , and moose with .223 and 77gr TMK.

For me it’s about placement. I practice out to 600 often with my .223. I can put a bullet at the top of the bottom 1/3 of a deer’s chest with confidence. Granted, can do the same with my 7mm-08, but the .223 is more fun, and just as effective. P

75 ELDM out of my .223 put a Mulie buck on the ground for me this year, 475 yards, DRT. It was neat to watch the impact. I practice with it frequently. P

    Low recoil deer caliber

https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/223-for-bear-deer-elk-and-moose.130488/ Read it all. Have an open mind. I used my .223 to kill a Mulie buck this year. One shot, DRT, 475 yards. 75 gr ELDM. P

New to me Tikka T3 .223 and 70 grain RDF BULLETS

I’ve moved on to the 80 grain ELD-M, bc of .485. I’m using Varget to get 2943 mv. Messing with seating depth to find the sweet spot.

    Any Love for the 7mm-08

I think he was looking to be convinced but didn't want to be. He posted the same question on multiple forums, and there's nothing wrong with that, but I think he was looking to be talked out of it. Fwiw my family has killed a bunch of bulls with the 7mm-08, from 68 yards to 407 yards. Shoot a...

    The Facebook crazies

I don't mind ignorance, I display a bit of it myself from time to time. Heck, we're all ignorant until we learn. What I don't like is ignorance insisting upon its own expertise. You can't buy your way in. P

    7mm-08?

My nephew killed his first bull last month, a 6x5, at 407 yards. 7mm-08, 150 ELDX. No complaints. P
