For me it’s about placement. I practice out to 600 often with my .223. I can put a bullet at the top of the bottom 1/3 of a deer’s chest with confidence. Granted, can do the same with my 7mm-08, but the .223 is more fun, and just as effective. P

You really gotta pay attention to the wind with that little bullet. P

I don't mind ignorance, I display a bit of it myself from time to time. Heck, we're all ignorant until we learn. What I don't like is ignorance insisting upon its own expertise. You can't buy your way in. P

My nephew killed his first bull last month, a 6x5, at 407 yards. 7mm-08, 150 ELDX. No complaints. P
