I'd personnally look into purchasing the additional rifle. That way two of you could hunt coyotes together. The 243 is adequate for deer as long as you recognize it's limitations. The AR platforms fill a good niche, but I'd think you would have more options with a separate rifle.

FWIW
I've run 130 ABs and 130 SSTs with both H4831 and H4350.
The 4831 gave me slightly better groups but 4350 edged it out on velocity.
Either one should be good. I played with Reloader 22 for a bit because I had some around but it did not give me the groups/velocity I was looking for.
I'm a fan of bedding all rifles, even the ones with the aluminum bedding blocks (HS Precision or B&C Medalist.)
For me, it's more of a matter of piece of mind rather than necessity. I have a bad habit of trying to fix things that ain't broke!
Either the 22-250 or 243 would fit the bill.
I hunt the central KS area and I vary between the two on where I'm hunting. If strictly hunting bottoms and woodlots, I doubt you'd see much of a difference from 50-100 yds. The advantage the 243 gives me is less wind drift when hunting the edges...
Terrain dependant, I guess.
22-250 w/ 50gn blitzkings- normal days
243 w/ 87gn Vmax - windy days or areas where I expect to shoot beyond 300
I'll probably give the 338 lapua a shot or two this spring :)
Wherever the chromosomes came from, it has to be part wolf.
I know when I was living in waaaay upstate NY one of the locals was telling me about a problem with the inbreeding of the Red Wolf and coyotes in the area. The reds would cross the St. Lawrence during the freeze and mingle with the...
I grew up there and it is slim pickin's for places to shoot long range. Try meeting and greeting some of the local landowners. If that doesn't work, there used to be a gun club in springfield that would be worth taking a look at. Good luck
I run the 165 ABs with some H4831 in my 300 win and they do a number on Whitetails. I've stuck with the 165s because my 300 is a sporter weight rifle and not my long range rig. If you're going long, try the 180-200s.
You can't go wrong with the RCBS. I have owned one for the last year or so and it has dramatically increased my output. Up until last year I manually weighed each charge which took some patience (RL22/4350/4831) with the longer stick powders. The RCBS drastically increases the speed of this...
Nosler sorts and uniforms the brass for you. Other than that, I see no real advantage. I have shot Nosler in both 22-250 and 243 and can honestly say that they are not as durable as Lapua or Norma. I'm not sure if it is true but I've heard that Nosler brass is made for them by Federal...
