    if its clamped in a vice...you could pull the scope off. it would have no bearing on where the rifle is shooting.

    i think in the end, it comes down to a sum of all the parts. the cartridge is just 1 small factor. the finger on the trigger being a big factor...

    epoxy would be permanent.. or atleast very hard to remove. just recently did the same. used clear silicone, and some #9 birdshot. worked very good. was able to add 1 -1.5# to my cheap synthetic stock...

    Do you prefer a hunting rifle with a detachable mag?

    so what is a DM, with a hinged floorplate considered? my buddies Browning M1000 has just that. it snaps to the floor plate, can be removed for loading, or loaded through the top.....

    but it takes more wind at the muzzle to affect the flight of the bullet.

    with the little experience i have, id say the wind at the muzzle is least important. as that is when the bullet is traveling the fastest, and least affected. midrange, and close to the target would have the most affect.... i know on saturday, i was shooting, and it was VERY(20+) windy at...

    another newbie here..

    hey guys, just found this site as i was searching for muzzle brakes. ive just recently started reloading, so far just for my husky .30-06. but have plans to buy a weatherby vanguard .300 winmag, and work up to some 1,000 yard shots.gun) been shooting since i was strong enough to hold up my .22:D
