depends on what you want to do with it. personally, the 300wm is fine to stick with. i got a rum for a little extra ***. picked it up last spring and shot the barrel out already. granted i shoot matches with it, so i definitely melt the barrel, but thats something you have to consider. big mags...

for hunting out to 1k, you're probably going to need something in the 30 cal range for energy. as far as punching paper, truth be known, just about anything will work. its easier than most people think, and as stated above, the new record was set with a 6br. although i think 223 is a tad...

unless they have corrosion on them, shoot 'em dirty. i never tumble brass anyway. i cant see it making a difference in accuracy. -brian

i'd say look at ferrell. about half the price of BO and still good quality. i have dual dovetails on my 300rum, and given the chance to buy over, i'd go with a ferrell one piece. -brian

watch the 92 at bit, but my 200gr smk load was 91.0 of h-1000 with no problems, so you should be good. -brian
