Great hunt and congratulations. As a matter of interest how did the A-Max perform as a hunting bullet?

I have enjoyed this thread and congratulation on an awesome trophy and hunt. I just joined a few days ago. This thread interest me a lot as I have a 300 mag and am considering a build or purchase of an all weather .300 WM as a "carry-into-the-mountains" hunting rifle and would love to hunt sheep...

I agree with this philosophy and whilst I am only now on my first binoculars, would definitely go the top end for a Marco Polo sheep hunt, for the moment I'm using Minox BV 10 x 42 and am pleasantly surprised at the value that these represent. They are great clarity and I am learning a lot...

I am just joining in on this now, only registered a few days ago. I have a hankering for one of these, Winchester EW, in this very calibre. I want a light all weather long range hunting rifle and I am partial to the .300 WM (would actually prefer a 30-338, but 300 WM would be more practical)...
