I haven’t considered the 6mm as we don’t have hit indicators in South Africa so it’s difficcult to spot hits on targets over 500 yards. I’ve kind of limited my range to 6.5mm cartridges.

I am also building a 280AI hunting rifle at the moment but used my old remington 700 action. I stripped my old 300 wm and put a Bartlein light varmint barrel on it. Still waiting for it to be completed though. My new build though will be more for competitive shooting.
