    28 Nosler...

Lynn, I ordered a 28 from Ryan Pierce of Piercision Rifle out of Lansing IA. He uses a Wyatts Extended Box. He also has a custom reamer made specifically for the 195gr Berger so you can seat the bullet out further gaining case capacity, allowing you to push that big pill faster. I am running a...

    New form of competitive shooting?

LOL "There probably wouldn't be big price money, maybe some prizes from sponsors and alittle money to the top guys. Make it affordable (not $450 to enter a match) and have some fun doing it" You are definitely on the right track for guys like me because I'm well aware I'm not winning any...

    New form of competitive shooting?

These are all great ideas. I think this could really take off. I have tried getting a couple local guys interested in PRS. I would like to get involved but there are no local matches and it would be nice to have someone to share travel costs etc with. But it seems to me while they are interested...

    Anybody from Kansas on here?

Arkansas City huh, you all have a pretty area down there by the river, lots of rock outcroppings etc. not at all what I expected. Stuck my first Rio last year at Kaw wildlife. I'm from MO so we don't have Rio's here and I had a blast. It's cool you all get to hunt turkeys all day too, we have to...

    Best boots

I was curious if anyone on this thread has any experience with any of the boots from the Russell Moccasin Company? I'm going on my first Elk Hunt this coming year and want to buy a quality pair of boots. I read a lot of good stuff about Kenetrek and Lowa but I personally like the idea of an all...

My 100lb plan for 2016 elk hunt

I realize you have a lot of weight to lose but you do have a decent amount of time still. This is a pretty simple plan from Montana Rifles blog. If you have the time to do it, it will work, and it will work your cardio as you stated that's your big weakness. In my experience if you work your...

    New LR shooter

To me the gains of a 6.5 Creedmore over a 260 Rem are minimal to non existent. If you reload, brass is much easier to come by for a 260 as it can be sized from 243 easily. Personally I use Lapua brass. But for either caliber I would recommend the Savage 12 LRP for a factory rifle (they chamber...

    28 Nosler...

Check out this thread from Ryan Pierce of Piercision Rifle. http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f28/28-nosler-195-berger-re33-testing-159270/ Note that Ryan isn't using a factory throat, but he's getting 3150 fps with RL 33 pushing that new 195gr Berger and getting very consistent grouping...
